Gone with the wind - duck style!

After driving from Los Angeles to Sacramento to Walnut Creek to San Francisco and back to Los Angeles is very very long. If you’ve ever driven on I-5, you’ll realize that the hills and flat lands in the California valley become rather… well, boring. But driving on CA state route 160, I saw probably the coolest bridge I’ve ever driven on.
The Antioch bridge is like a roller coaster. You go up and up and up (it’s a long way up), anticipating the moment you’re going to hit the top. But of course, you can’t drive down the bridge 100 mph.
But it’s awesome at the top. Happy discovery!
Haven’t been blogging because finals are kicking my ass.
But brunch. I still think this is the best type of meal. It beats any other meal - not only does it leave you the option of having breakfast food (which is bomb) but it also lets you have lunch options - that turkey sandwich or that juicy burger. So three girlfriends and I hopped over to Larchmont in mid-Wilshire of Los Angeles for brunch at Larchmont Bungalow. They are known for their red and blue velvet pancakes. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, red. velvet. pancakes.

And what are these delicious novelties? They taste like a red velvet cake, only with the pancake texture, a little burned on the edges and with a cream cheese filling in the center. Pancake sandwich? Served with maple syrup and candied walnuts. They were like heaven. Here are some other pictures of food for foodies:

B.S.T. Benedict

Stuffed French Toast

And lastly, the Chipotle Benedict.
After getting a taste of red velvety pancakes, we noticed a familiar face. George Costanza (Jason Alexander) sighted on the table nearby! Seinfeld fans! Sorry, no pictures out of celebrity courtesy. Plus, I’m not very sneaky but upon my honor, he was there!
That’s not even the best part of that day. Outside on Larchmont, the Animal Rescue Center was showcasing some of the kittens and puppies they recently rescued. So the part of my heart drawn to cute, adorable, little things went straight over. This precious thing here won my heart and I brought her home:

Meet Kona (after the coffee), my new beloved serendipitous kitten.
collaborative refreshing effort with butteredlove late into the night with no sleep, when everything is hilarious and all there is left to do is giggle at whatever is on the screen.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Goose,
I’m all for taking your kids to Six Flags Magic Mountain, but I’m not so sure baby geese would have as much fun as we do.
Sincerely,
